The Marin Alcatraz 24″ Kids Bike is a purpose-built dirt jump and pump track bike designed to give younger riders a strong, responsive platform for progression. Its Series 3 6061 aluminium frame combines strength with low weight, while compact geometry and short chainstays keep the bike agile and easy to control. A suspension-corrected Cro-Mo rigid fork and fast-rolling Vee tyre Rail tyres keep speed high on pump tracks and jump lines. A Tektro hydraulic rear disc brake adds reliable stopping power, helping young riders maintain control as their skills advance.Key Features and Benefits:Series 3 6061 aluminium frame with jump-specific tubing: The frame uses shaped aluminium tubes built to handle repeated impacts and hard landings while keeping weight low. This creates a durable but responsive chassis that stays stable on jumps and manuals, giving younger riders a strong platform to progress their skills.Compact dirt jump geometry with short chainstays: The frame features a low, short layout designed to suit smaller riders and improve bike handling. Short chainstays make it easier to lift the front wheel and control manuals, resulting in a bike that reacts quickly and supports developing jump technique.Tektro HD-M280 hydraulic rear disc brake with 160mm rotor: The hydraulic system delivers consistent braking power with light lever effort. This improves braking control when approaching jumps, berms, or pump sections, helping riders manage speed with confidence.Marin Series 2 Cro-Mo suspension-corrected rigid fork: The chromoly fork provides high strength and direct steering feedback while maintaining the correct geometry for jump riding. This results in precise front-end control when pumping transitions or landing jumps.24″ Vee tyre Rail 2.25″ tyres with LSG compound: The large-volume tyres provide strong grip and smooth rolling speed across dirt jumps and pump tracks. This improves traction through berms and helps maintain momentum between features.Horizontal dropouts with Marin chain tension device: The adjustable dropout system allows accurate chain tension for the single-speed drivetrain. This reduces chain slack and drivetrain noise, resulting in reliable power transfer and low maintenance.A bike designed for young riders must balance durability, control, and correct sizing. The Alcatraz 24″ achieves this with a scaled frame that keeps weight low while remaining strong enough for repeated jumps and hard use. The single-speed drivetrain keeps the system simple and dependable, while sealed bearings and robust Marin components reduce maintenance. Combined with stable geometry and reliable braking, the bike provides a solid foundation for developing jump technique and control. The Marin Alcatraz 24″ Kids Bike delivers a tough and capable platform for riders ready to push their skills further on pump tracks, dirt jumps, and bike parks. Its strong frame, responsive handling, and dependable parts make it a reliable choice for young riders who want a bike built for progression.
