The Ridgeback Dimension 20″ Kids Bike is a lightweight, confidence-focused bike built to support smooth pedalling, easy control, and reliable riding across varied terrain. A light aluminium frame reduces overall weight for easier handling, while ergonomically sized components and puncture-resistant tyres ensure stable, low-effort rides. The geometry and parts are designed to match a child’s proportions, improving comfort and control on every ride.Key Features and Benefits:Easy-pedal crank design with reduced crank length and optimised pedal position: The shorter, proportionally sized cranks match a child’s leg length and place the pedals closer to the bike’s centre. This improves pedalling efficiency and reduces strain on joints, resulting in smoother cadence and less fatigue over longer rides.Smaller diameter grips and narrower handlebars: The reduced grip size fits smaller hands more securely, improving braking reach and steering input. This increases control and confidence, leading to safer handling and more consistent riding.Lightweight aluminium frame and fork construction: The use of aluminium lowers the bike’s overall weight without reducing strength. This makes the bike easier to manoeuvre, lift, and control, helping maintain balance and reducing effort during use.Puncture-resistant Nutrak by Vee Speedster tyres: These tyres use a reinforced casing to reduce the risk of punctures while maintaining low rolling resistance. This ensures fewer interruptions and smoother progress across roads, paths, and light trails.Lowered frame geometry with integrated steering limiter: The lower top tube improves clearance for easier mounting and dismounting, while the steering limiter prevents excessive handlebar rotation. This reduces the chance of over-steering and improves stability during early skill development.Consistent control and efficient pedalling are key when moving to a larger bike with gears. The lightweight frame, balanced geometry, and 7-speed Shimano drivetrain work together to maintain steady progress on varied terrain. Proportionally sized components support correct riding position, while stable handling reduces unnecessary effort and improves overall riding confidence. The Ridgeback Dimension 20″ gives you a practical, well-balanced bike that supports steady progression and reliable performance. It is built to handle regular use with minimal fuss, making it a strong choice for everyday riding and longer outings.Size Guide: Height – 112cm to 130cm / Age 5.5 to 8.5 Years
