“Ridgeback MX20″ Kids Bike – 2026” – Orla Orange

The Ridgeback MX20″ Kids Bike is a lightweight, easy-to-handle geared bike designed to help young riders build confidence, ride further, and handle varied terrain with control. It uses child-specific geometry, easy-pedal cranks, and responsive brakes to support smooth riding and safe handling. A built-in steering limiter helps prevent over-steering, giving added stability as coordination develops. With 7-speed gearing and grippy tyres, it supports steady progress on paths, tracks, and small hills.Key Features and Benefits:Easy-pedal cranks designed for shorter leg length: The crank arms are proportioned to suit a child’s leg reach and positioned closer to the bike’s centre, which reduces strain through each pedal stroke. This improves pedalling efficiency and creates a smoother cadence, helping you maintain speed with less effort and better control over longer rides.Narrow handlebar grips sized for small hands: The reduced grip diameter allows a secure hold without overreaching, improving hand comfort and control. This makes steering more precise and helps you react quickly to changes in terrain, leading to safer and more stable riding.Adjustable brake levers with shorter reach: The brake levers sit closer to the bars and can be fine-tuned for hand size, ensuring consistent braking force with minimal effort. This improves stopping control and builds confidence when managing speed on descents or busy paths.Lowered frame design for easier access: The frame is shaped to reduce standover height, making it simpler to get on and off the bike. This increases confidence when starting and stopping, and reduces the risk of imbalance when coming to a halt.Steering limiter integrated into the headset: The limiter restricts excessive handlebar rotation, which helps prevent sudden over-steering during early skill development. This adds stability when cornering and reduces the chance of falls while learning to coordinate pedalling and turning. The MX20 supports steady progression by combining low-effort pedalling, controlled braking, and stable handling in one platform. The 7-speed drivetrain allows you to adjust effort to match changing terrain, so climbs feel manageable and flat sections stay efficient. The balanced geometry and child-specific contact points reduce fatigue and help maintain consistent control across longer rides. This is a practical choice for building confidence with gears while keeping handling predictable and safe. It is designed to adapt as skills improve, offering reliable performance without adding unnecessary complexity.Take the next step with a bike that supports smooth progress, steady control, and longer rides with less effort.Size Guide: Height – 112cm to 130cm / Age 5.5 to 8.5 Years
