The Scott Gambler 20 Full Suspension Mountain Bike – 2027 is a downhill bike built for speed, control and demanding race tracks. Its tough 6061 alloy frame works with 200mm of RockShox suspension at both ends. SRAM GX DH gearing, DB8 brakes and Maxxis downhill tyres give you a setup made for steep and technical terrain.Key Features and Benefits:Gambler Alloy 6061 Frame: The hydroformed alloy frame is built to cope with the high loads of downhill riding. Its Virtual 4 Link suspension design manages rear wheel movement through rough ground. This helps the bike stay controlled when the track becomes fast, steep or broken.200mm RockShox Suspension: A RockShox Boxxer Select fork provides 200mm of front travel, while the RockShox Vivid Coil shock controls 200mm at the rear. The large amount of travel helps absorb hard impacts, roots and rocks. This gives the wheels more scope to track rough ground and helps you maintain control at speed.SRAM GX DH 7-Speed Drivetrain: The downhill-specific GX drivetrain uses a short cage rear mech and a close-range 11-25T cassette. The compact gearing gives you the ratios needed for fast downhill tracks without adding gears that are less useful for gravity riding. It also helps keep the rear mech tucked closer to the bike.SRAM DB8 4-Piston Brakes: DB8 brakes use four-piston callipers with 203mm rotors at the front and rear. This provides strong braking force for steep sections and repeated heavy braking. The large rotors also help manage heat during long downhill runs.Maxxis Downhill Tyres: A Maxxis Assegai front tyre uses 3C MaxxGrip rubber for high front-end grip, while the DHR II rear uses 3C MaxxTerra rubber. Both use reinforced downhill casings. This combination supports confident braking and cornering while adding protection against hard impacts.Syncros DH Cockpit and Components: The Syncros Hixon DH35 handlebar and direct-mount stem create a strong front-end setup for downhill use. Lock-on grips give secure hand contact, while the alloy Syncros seatpost and Kaslo saddle complete a practical gravity-focused build. The Gambler 20 is designed to give you a predictable platform when speed rises and the track gets rough. Its long-travel suspension helps keep the wheels working over large impacts, while the downhill drivetrain and braking system are chosen around the demands of gravity riding. The alloy frame also gives the bike a durable base for regular race and bike park use.For riders looking for a dedicated downhill bike with proven components and 200mm of suspension travel, the Scott Gambler 20 provides a focused setup for demanding gravity riding. Its combination of durable equipment, strong braking and downhill-specific suspension makes it ready for regular use on steep and technical tracks.Size Guide:Bike Size – Recommended Height RangeS – 155-165cm (5’1″-5’5″)M – 166-178cm (5’5″-5’10”)L – 176-188cm (5’9″-6’2″)XL – 186-198cm (6’1″-6’6″)
