The Squish 18 Kids Bike is a lightweight, award-winning children’s bike designed to bridge the gap between 16” and 20” wheels while giving young riders confidence, control, and an easy next step in cycling. Its incredibly lightweight triple-butted aluminium frame, child-specific geometry, and simple single-speed setup make it easy to handle, stable to ride, and well suited to developing skills. Backed by a 10-year extended warranty and recognised as Bike Brand of the Year 2024, it is built for long-term reliability and everyday use.Key Features and Benefits:Incredibly lightweight triple-butted aluminium frame: The frame uses variable wall thickness to reduce material where it is not needed while keeping strength where it matters. This keeps total weight to just 6.96kg, making the bike easier to steer, start, and stop, which helps children stay in control and ride with less effort.18” wheel size with 9.5” frame for correct progression: The 18” wheels sit between 16” and 20” sizes to suit children who are not ready for a full jump up. This improves reach, balance, and stability, resulting in a safer and more comfortable transition as skills grow.Kid-specific frame geometry and contact points: The frame shape, junior-sized handlebars, child-specific saddle, and optimised crank length are designed for smaller bodies. This creates a natural riding position that reduces strain and supports better balance and pedalling control.Single-speed drivetrain for simplicity: A one-gear setup removes the need to manage shifters and derailleurs. This allows children to focus on balance, braking, and smooth pedalling, leading to quicker skill development and fewer distractions.Adjustable brake levers sized for small hands: Brake levers are designed for short finger reach and can be adjusted as the child grows. This improves braking control and response, which supports safer riding and builds confidence at speed.Award-winning design with long-term warranty support: Recognised at the 2024 BikeBiz and Made for Mums Awards, the bike pairs proven design with a free 10-year extended warranty on the frame and fork. This ensures dependable use over time and peace of mind for parents.Consistent control and easy handling are what matter most at this stage of riding. The Squish 18 supports steady progress by keeping weight low, sizing correct, and controls simple. Its child-focused design reduces fatigue, improves stability, and allows skills to develop at a natural pace without unnecessary complexity.Choose the Squish 18 Kids Bike as a dependable step forward that balances low weight, correct sizing, and long-term quality, giving young riders a bike that supports confident and controlled riding from the first turn of the pedals.Sizing: The 18″ Squish bike is recommended for children aged 5+, with a minimum inside leg measurement of 50cm and a minimum height of 110cm (3’7″).
